Families in Action - Starts January 2018!

Community United San José, in collaboration with the City of San José and the San José Mayor's Prevention Task Force, is proud to deliver a new program to help parents overcome struggles at home regarding the bringing up of their teens.

The "Starbird Families in Action" is a FREE WORKSHOP where one can learn tools to support a better parent-child/teen connection and build stronger families

Starting January 8, 2018, this is a 7 week program, held each Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

For over 7 years, Community United San José has been successfully delivering "The Good Choices Program" to youth in local community centers, and has added this program tailored for parents, to help them resolve the problems they face.

This weekly workshop will foster personal integrity, responsibility, respect, caring and productivity—all which help to put a person on the road to success.

What parents will learn:

•  Prevent gang involvement
•  Avoid drug and alcohol use
•  Increase self-motivation and responsibility
•  Overcome parenting struggles and situations
•  Build self-esteem
•  Make good choices
•  Become successful

Each workshop includes DINNER and a RAFFLE — CHILDCARE is also provided.
